EnCorps Northern California Community Partners:
CitizenSchools is an after-school education program which partners with middle schools to expand the learning day. Designed for students in the middle grades (6th, 7th and 8th), the programs complement classroom learning by engaging students in hands-on learning projects led by adult volunteers after school and supported by a staff of professional educators.
College Track is an after-school, college preparatory program that works to increase high school graduation, college eligibility and enrollment, and college graduation rates in under-resourced communities.
Silicon Valley Education Foundation (SVEF) focuses on raising student performance in the critical areas of math and science across all 33 Santa Clara County school districts. Silicon Valley Education Foundation advocates for public education, organizes stakeholders, distributes resources, and connects assets to help prepare students for college and careers. SVEF delivers programs, which include Lessonopoly, Stepping Up to Algebra and Stepping Up To Science, and partners with organizations that support our mission of improving public education.
AVID is a 4th through 12th grade system to prepare students in the academic middle for four-year college eligibility. It has a proven track record in bringing out the best in students, and in closing the achievement gap. The AVID curriculum is based on rigorous standards, WICR strategies (writing, inquiry, collaboration, reading), Cornell note-taking and Socratic Seminars.
Level Playing Field Institute promotes innovative approaches to fairness in higher education and workplaces by removing barriers to full participation. They sponsor programs such as the Summer Math and Science Honors Academy, SMASH, a rigorous summer enrichment program for underrepresented high school students of color to excel in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), supports college access.

Kid Works is a nonprofit community center whose mission is to restore at-risk neighborhoods, one life at a time. They provide hope to low-income, at-risk youth in Central Santa Ana through holistic after-school programs, tutoring, mentoring, health education, and parent involvement. They also create space for community volunteers to connect with tangible needs in the center of Orange County, helping kids to graduate on time and have hope for a bright future.
Bresee Foundation offers an after-school education program for middle and high school students. Young people benefit from assistance provided daily after-school from 3-7 p.m. in Academics and College Prep (tutoring, homework assistance, college preparation workshops & tours). Bresee also sends students to an after-school mathematics program at Virgil Middle School in a partnership to ensure students are receiving the needed assistance in this subject area.
LA Conversation Corps is a nonprofit organization whose primary mission is to provide at-risk young adults and school-aged youth with opportunities for success. The After School Program provides academic enrichment, tutoring and mentoring services at Los Angeles Unified School District elementary and middle schools.
